This instructor-led, live training in Oregon (online or onsite) is aimed at product owners who wish to gain knowledge of advanced techniques for successful product ownership in dynamic and challenging environments as a Professional Scrum Product Owner II (PSPO II). By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Understand advanced strategies for maximizing the value delivered by the product and prioritize effectively in complex situations.
• Apply refined backlog management techniques to ensure the team works on the most valuable items, and collaborate with stakeholders to refine and split user stories.
• Engage with diverse stakeholders, manage their expectations, and effectively incorporate their feedback into the product development process.
• Gain insights into scaling Scrum, managing multiple Product Backlogs, and coordinating efforts in larger product development environments.

Applying Professional Scrum (APS) is a 2-day course that teaches Scrum in a highly practical way. Students hit the ground running through instruction and team-based exercises. Working in a series of Sprints, teams of students build a software application, thereby facing real-life problems. The mechanics, roles, principles and (empirical) process of Scrum are demonstrated. Common missteps and misunderstandings are discussed so students grow a higher awareness of their symptoms. Applying Professional Scrum (APS) is the training for teams and anyone wanting to experience the Scrum way of working. The course also provides the foundation of knowledge needed for role-focused training for Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Developers, as offered in Scrum.org’s Professional Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Product Owner and Professional Scrum Development classes. The class introduces the mechanics of Scrum, as well as provides insights into complexity, team-based collaboration and self-organization as essential elements in mastering Scrum. Students will experience how the Scrum framework improves product development efforts. From its emphasis on practical application the course exposes common missteps, increases the awareness of the associated symptoms, and provides prescriptive guidance to avoid going off track. Students are challenged to act in terms of Scrum. They take home an increased understanding of how to collaborate better and work as a team.

Professional Scrum Certification All participants completing the Applying Professional Scrum course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) assessment. The industry-recognized PSM I certification requires a minimum passing score of 85%. APS class participants who attempt the PSM I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost. You are also entitled to a discount on the PSM II assessment once passing PSM I.

Professional Agile Leadership Essentials is a 2 day workshop to equip leaders and managers of Agile teams along with their Product Owners and Scrum Masters to help their organizations change by providing participants with:

• An overview of what “Agile” is and why organizations need it to thrive in a changing world.
• The means to identify the potential opportunities, challenges and impacts of Agile in terms of business value and why this is so important to the next generation organization.
• An understanding of techniques to support teams to sustain long-term agility including the role that leaders play, shifts in thinking, and the relationship between complexity and empiricism.
• Ways to continue the development of the people to help them grow and prosper in an agile way of working. • Guidance of how to measure and guide agile product delivery.
• Discuss ways to scale agility across several teams within the organization while keeping them working together to deliver on a common vision.

Professional Agile Leadership Certification All participants completing the Professional Agile Leadership - Essentials course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Agile Leadership I (PAL I) certification assessment. PAL-E class participants who attempt the PAL I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.

The two-day Professional Scrum with Kanban (PSK) course teaches Scrum practitioners how to apply Kanban practices in their work. Through theory, case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants will understand the importance of transparency and flow in relation to the Scrum framework. In this course, students will learn how Scrum Teams can add additional Kanban practices while continuing to work with Scrum, all without changing Scrum. After completing this course, the participant will:

• Understand how the flow works in the context of Scrum.
• Learn about Kanban practices, learn what scrum teams can apply them to improve their effectiveness and efficiency.
• Learn how to effectively use appropriate Kanban practices without changing Scrum.
• Learn a practical approach to improving the transparency and visibility of their work.

Professional Scrum with Kanban Certification All participants completing the Professional Scrum with Kanban course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Scrum with Kanban I (PSK I) assessment. PSK class participants who attempt the PSK I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a 2nd attempt at no additional cost.  

Training allows you to develop your competencies, learn advanced knowledge, techniques, tools and practices in the area of conducting projects based on the "Scrum framework" from the perspective of a Scrum Master - a leader responsible for understanding and applying Scrum effectiveness. The training is a natural continuation of the path of development for Scrum Masters. The training is dedicated to Scrum Masters who are interested in further developing, implementing and improving the effectiveness of Scrum in the organization. The training consists of a substantive part, workshops, practical examples.
As part of the training, participants are prepared for certification - Scrum Master level II through a test exam and have the opportunity to take the certification exam.

The training allows you to familiarize yourself with the knowledge, techniques, tools and practices in the field of project management based on the "Scrum framework" from the perspective of the Scrum Master - the leader responsible for understanding and applying Scrum, efficiency. The training is dedicated to people interested in implementing Agile approaches in the organization, people participating in projects, project managers implementing or planning to implement Agile approaches in projects.

In this 2-day Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS) workshop, students will simulate a large software development project using the Nexus™ framework. The workshop is delivered using an end-to-end case study where students work together to organize and simulate a scaled software development project. Throughout the workshop, students will be introduced to more than 50 practices that can be used to help reduce complexity and dependencies at scale. The workshop will provide students with an understanding of how to launch, structure, staff, and manage a large Agile project using Scrum. Throughout the workshop, students will learn the infrastructure, tools and practices needed to successfully scale Scrum to maximize the value of their software development initiative. By taking a hands-on approach, students are fully engaged in the learning process where they see first-hand the challenges in large-scale development initiatives and solutions for getting the work back on track. They will leave the workshop with techniques to detect irregularities and how to address them appropriately.

This course is designed as an experiential workshop where students learn how to scale Scrum using the Nexus™ framework. Throughout, you are introduced to the artifacts and events within the framework, the new Nexus Integration Team role, along with more than 50 associated practices.
